Understanding FASD

Alcohol damages the brain of the developing baby. Its resultant effects are negative, lasting a lifetime. They are irreparable.

The primary behaviours of FASD are the direct results of brain damage caused by the alcohol consumed by a woman during pregnancy.

The Secondary Behaviours are the affected person's defensive reactions to social sanctioning. These behaviours may lead to criminal behaviour.
