BRITISH COLUMBIA - Provincial Court, Family Division: British Columbia (Director of Family and Child Services) v. N. (J.) [2000] B.C.J. No. 2195
FACTS: The mother was appealing a continuing custody order, which the court had previously granted to the Director. V.N. suffered from
FAS and thus possessed several special needs which her mother had failed to accommodate. As a result, V.N. was taken away from her biological mother.
HELD: Judge Grannary concluded that the mother would not meet the full-time needs of the child, and thus dismissed the appeal.
